Many of the ‘spacecraft’ captured on amateur footage over they years appear to hover and move at great speed in any direction, according to conspiracy theorists. They usually do so silently, leading the UFO community to conclude that they do not use conventional methods of propulsion. The footage, which appears to show a spinning triangle of lights pictured above Exmouth, in east Devon, was captured by a bus driver who was on a break.
This could theoretically free it from gravity’s clutches and allow it to move in the unusual manner of a UFO.

Security locks on doors, however, must not impede escape in case of fire. Very often drug abusers or vagrants, who may start fires to keep warm, or to hide evidence of their activities, enter such premises. A fire in a farm building has serious consequences, not just for the business but also for risks to animal welfare and the safety of those that work and live on the farm, as well as the emergency services that attend.

Peaceful and laidback site among spectacular Devon views A few minutes from Woolacombe Direct access to the Tarka Trail Wave goodbye to rowdy groups and say hello to a comfortable, quiet and peaceful break at this laidback park: The ethos is to give guests a great camping time on a small peaceful site, and so there are no hidden costs for hot water, wifi or mobile phone charging, and the shops, clubs and launderettes are left to the bigger sites in the area.
Good clean shower and toilet facilities and a sheltered washing-up area are always to hand. Families staying at Bay View are chuffed to be able to sort their own entertainment for kids around the safe play areas and plenty of space to kick a ball or fly a kite. Dogs are most rightly also considered full family members here too, so the team has added a large pooch walking area for furballs to run, chase balls and generally roll around.
Bay View Farmers is near the award-winning beach of Woolacombe 1.

Self Catering Devon Property Description: Ley farm is a beautiful and typical South Devon farm found in the South Hams. It has three steep sided valleys with spring fed streams running through. High Devon hedges built on banks and many trees make it an idyllic spot to live for us humans and provide shelter to the animals. Why not come and stay with us?
Holiday Cottage to let With picturesque rooms The farm runs to acres which are part owned and part rented on various tenancies. I feel the most efficient way to produce food is to let farmers farm in the way that suites them and is appropriate to the land. On the whole is what generation after generation of them have done in Devon, creating the beautiful landscape we have and very good food. Unfortunately that position is under threat.
A massive squeeze has been put on farming to the extent that a huge number of farmers have been forced out of farming, their farms divided and their farmhouses sold off. Personally I feel very sad about this threat to our way of life and traditions. Ley Farm offer visitors the opportunity to share in their lifestyle by staying in their holiday accommodation. You have to be prepared to accept a working farm, in return for which you may be able to see lambs being born or many of the other events that happen on the farm.
The animals on Ley Farm are brought up with animal welfare and the environment as key goals.

Reginald George Nicholls, whose family had been farming the land in Devon for more than years, died of asphyxia after the huge pile of grain collapsed beneath him, an inquest heard.
A family member desperately tried to save the year-old but an inquest into his death heard the grain would have been like “quicksand”. The year-old had been clambering on the hard top layer of grain at Berry Farm in Devon when it gave way beneath him and he was sucked in. The Plymouth, Torbay and South Devon Coroner, Ian Arrow heard, at the inquest in Torquay that corn in one of the silos at the farm collapsed as Mr Nicholls was trying to empty it because of a problem with weevils.
Farm worker Mark Nicholls told the inquest the site had had a problem for a couple of years with weevils in the feed corn, condensation and germination. The farm Mr Nicholls’ family had been farming for more than years Image: Devon Live WS This had caused solid layer to build up at the top of the silo which Mr Nicholls decided needed to be cleared to enable the silo to be emptied, Devon Live reports.

Bernard and his wife Moya have twin girls who are a year older than Lily. They were five at the time of my visit and I remember being mesmerized by what they could do. They could skip with skipping ropes, put slides in their own and each others hair, and have conversations with me and their parents that seemed, at the time, terribly mature. A year and a half on, and Lily is now five and three quarters and Katie is four and a quarter.
When I reflect on what they could not do last year, but can now do with ease, I am astounded by the ability of children to learn so much so fast. Over the years, a great deal of my anthropology practice has focused on how and what we learn about the world around us and how we put our embodied knowledge into practice. The ability of children to learn so much so quickly, and to make sense of a very complex world, astounds me. Some people compare kids to sponges soaking up information.
All children are learning all the time.
